Your Role
Operate drones to undertake aerial survey work in compliance with company procedures and Civil Aviation Authority requirements.
Collect and quality-check aerial imagery and survey data to support accurate asset, survey and technical reporting.
Support inspections and diagnosis of roofing defects alongside survey and roofing teams.
Obtain and support pre-flight approvals and coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
Establish and maintain safe UAV operating areas in line with approved method statements, risk assessments and permissions.
Conduct road, footpath and highway inspections and assist with related survey activities.
Contribute to documentation, reporting and continuous delivery of a safe, efficient and effective service.
Support wider operational activities during no-fly periods, including asset data collection and other business requirements.
Promote compliance with QHSE standards and report health and safety concerns appropriately.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications: Full UK driving licence (manual) with no more than six penalty points and the ability to obtain UK baseline security clearance. Relevant drone qualifications, construction or built environment qualifications and related technical certifications would be advantageous.
Experience: Experience producing technical reports and using IT systems effectively is essential. Previous exposure to UAV or aerial survey operations, aerial data processing, construction, facilities management, roofing inspections, defence environments and knowledge of CAA regulations would be beneficial.
Skills: Able to work safely in line with RAMS and safe systems of work, manage workload effectively, collaborate within a team and communicate clearly. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive, customer-focused approach, a positive attitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
